CoinPoker Announces Meme Millions Tournament with $1M in Prizes and Crypto Airdrops

CoinPoker, one of the leading platforms in the online poker industry, is gearing up for its highly anticipated Meme Millions Tournament Series, set to kick off on November 17. With a massive $1,000,000 in prizes on the table, this week-long event, running through November 24, is poised to bring a fresh twist to the world of poker by merging it with the red-hot realm of meme coins.

Tailored for Meme Coin Fans

The Meme Millions Tournament Series promises to attract both poker enthusiasts and meme coin fans alike. For newcomers, it offers an exciting introduction to the world of meme coins, while seasoned crypto investors can further diversify their portfolios while enjoying high-stakes poker action.

With 13 individual events centered around some of the most popular meme coins, the tournament offers a unique opportunity to engage with coins like Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Pepe, and Baby DogeCoin. Alongside these well-known assets, lesser-known meme coins such as Brett, Book of Meme, and Cat in a Dog’s World will also make their appearances.

Spanning multiple poker formats, including No Limit Hold’em (NLHE), Pot Limit Omaha (PLO), and Progressive Knock Out (PKO), the tournament caters to a wide variety of player preferences. Participants will not only compete for huge cash prizes but also have the chance to scoop up a share of $30,000 in meme coin airdrops.

Meme Coin Airdrops: A New Dimension to Poker

What sets the Meme Millions Tournament Series apart from other poker events is its innovative integration of meme coin airdrops. To qualify for these airdrops, players must participate in at least one of the 13 Meme Millions Events. With each event linked to a different meme coin, players will earn entries into the draw for a chance to win a portion of the airdrop for that specific coin. Winners will be announced on Sunday livestreams, where the results are determined via a randomized wheel of names. All transactions and winners will be publicly verified on the blockchain for full transparency.

Accessible Buy-Ins and Game Variations

One of the other highlights of the Meme Millions Tournament Series is its accessibility. Buy-ins range from a modest $1 to $5,000 (USDT), ensuring there’s a spot for players of all experience levels. The series also introduces a variety of poker formats, including Turbo, Standard, and Deepstack, so players can choose the type of game that best suits their strategy and preferences.

The $5,000 MEMEsis (Meme Millions Edition) event, scheduled for November 23, offers a guaranteed prize pool of $130,000, making it one of the biggest events of the series. For those with smaller budgets, the Meme Million Event (MEW—Cat in a Dog’s World) offers a $1 buy-in with a guaranteed prize of $400, making it a great entry point for beginners. In addition to the main tournament events, the series also features meme coin airdrop specials, which allow participants multiple chances to win a share of the airdrop pool.

PokerStars COOP Series Coming to Three Different States in September

Poker lovers in the United States who may be feeling left out of all the action in PokerStars’ World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) have something to smile about. While they are still not able to access the dot come version of the poker room and participate in the tournament, the operator has found a way to cater to them. The company has recently announced that it will be running Champions of Online Poker (COOPs) in three different states.

That said, poker lovers in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, the three states, will be able to simultaneously enjoy some special tournament action. This will run from September 10 through September 27. But that is not the only great news that the players should look forward to.

Amazing Prize Pools

According to the operator, the total guaranteed prize pools across the three states will be a whopping $4.5 million. Players who will be participating in the Pennsylvania Championship of Online Poker (PACOOP) will take the biggest share of the prize pool. That is $2 million in guaranteed prizes which will be won across a total of 69 events.

Coming in second will be the Michigan Championship of Online Poker (MICOOP). This is promising $1.5 million in guaranteed prize pools for its 68 events. The New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOOP) will be offering $1 million in guaranteed prizes that will be won over a total of 60 events.

All the Main Event winners during the tournament will receive a PokerStars trophy. In addition to that, there are a few special COOP events whose winners will also receive trophies. The guarantees for these Main Events are as follows:

  • $200,000 for PACOOP
  • $150,000 for MICOOP
  • $100,000 for NJCOOP

How To Get In

If you are looking to participate in any of the state poker events, you will be happy to know that the buy-ins for most events will be quite reasonable. Most of them will be below $100. However, they could range from as low as $10 to as high as $100. All the Main Events will have buy-ins of $300. That’s not too bad. They will also be running for two days starting from September 26.

To help their customers get in on the poker action, PokerStars is also hosting several promotions till September 26. All that the players need to do is participate in the operator’s special $3 Spin & Go’s. With that, they stand a chance of winning the $300 COOP Main Event tickets.

Is BTC Gambling Still a Lucrative Investment Opportunity?

Bitcoin and digital currencies, in general, have become quite appealing as business prospects which was not the case just a couple of months back. Despite recent declines in the overall value of most digital currencies, the crypto industry is on a rather consistent upward trend. In many ways, the industry has seemingly gotten to the point where it can be said to be ripe for investment and exploration – a number of these are already underway. This is especially true for the gambling industry which is among the very first industries to adopt various crypto-related innovations. If history is anything is to go by, then this is a sign that crypto will be vital in the quest to boost returns for the gaming industry.

What 2019 Has in Store

Well, according to a number of experts, 2019 is going to be the year of next level application of bitcoin, and other digital currencies, in the gambling market. These projections mainly rely on the trends and forecasts for both markets that indicate several extensive changes that will come into effect by the second quarter of the year. This steady growth trend is expected to go on for the next two years with the areas expected to see the most changes being mobile gaming, sports betting and live online gaming.

Online casinos and online poker operators stand to reap the most from the integration of crypto technology and mainstream consumer technology. The trends indicated by these projections and forecasts are going to peak in 2019 which means that we might actually get to see fully-fledged applications taking advantage of the untapped potential of the crypto market. That said, it is safe to conclude that despite the ups and downs of the cryptocurrency space, it was always bound to rise above all that.

Blockchain Poker Tournaments

Last year we got to see the very first blockchain poker tournament that highlighted the three-day World Crypto Conference and was hosted by Las Vegas-based Aria casino. The tournament brought together live poker action that was powered by blockchain technology, making it the first to show off the full potential of blockchain and crypto technology in the gambling space. Poker players should expect more of these in 2019.

Prior to the inaugural blockchain poker tournament, there were already a number of established online poker brands including Virtue Poker that were already using decentralized smart contracts to manage their data. Even though the technology is still far from being perfected, players have grown to love the idea of their data and gaming application being managed by decentralized platforms primarily because the technology helps in reducing the possibility of site fixing and the use of poker bots.

Blockchain Poker Tournament to be Hosted at Aria Casino

Blockchain and cryptocurrencies are quickly becoming ingratiated into the poker world. Providing players with safe and secure gaming, they have been embraced by players and operators across the web. To help strengthen this bond, World Crypto Con will be hosting a Blockchain poker tournament.

Bringing Land-Based Poker and Blockchain Together

The Blockchain Poker tournament will integrate blockchain technology into standard poker tournament play. While few details have been announced so far, we are hoping to see some exciting innovations, for example, wagering using cryptocurrencies.

It is anticipated that many talented poker pros will be in attendance. Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari are on the list of rumoured runners, and there is speculation that Phil Hellmuth may register since he is known to have a close relationship with the Aria Casino.

This will be the second time we’ll see blockchain technology integrated into a poker tournament. The first was in July, when Blockparty hosted an event at the Blockchain World Conference. 100 runners competed in the tournament, and the winner walked away with a two tickets to the next Blockchain World Conference and three nights’ accommodation – worth a total of $10 000.

Blockchain in the Online Poker World

The online poker market is quickly embracing blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. There are now dozens of online poker sites that accept bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as deposit methods, and players are pleased with the development. Cryptocurrencies are well-known for the privacy that they award users, as they are completely anonymous. They are also renowned for their quick processing times.

There are also many ways that online poker sites are planning to use blockchain in their overall operation. Smart contracts can make peer-to-peer payments an integral part of tournament registration and payouts. For example, if it costs 1 BTC to enter a tournament, the player’s buy-in is kept in escrow with every other player’s entry fee. Players who win will be paid out from the escrow account, so no money is ever passed through a third party.

Another benefit of blockchain technology is that it is audited by the community itself. All changes and developments can be viewed by members of the community, who are on the lookout for any suspicious activities – so, you can definitely rely on blockchain to make the online poker world a safer place.

Blockchain is already making a significant impact on the online poker world, and it is sure to start having an effect in the land-based poker market. World Crypto Con’s blockchain tournament is just one of the first few steps that needs to be taken in order for poker and blockchain to become completely integrated for a whole new gaming experience.
